Cancel a cell entry. Delete the character to the left of the insertion point, or delete the selection. On a MacBook, press Fn + Delete. Note: Some smaller keyboards do not have this key. Move one character up, down, left, or right. Move to the beginning of the line. Insert a comment.
Since installing Excel for Mac 2016 (now 15.11.2 (150701) Excel always asks at launch to use confidential information stored in Microsoft ID in my keychain. It normally asks six times; very rarely only five times. Nothing ever changes between these repetitions.
I always Deny this - I have no interest in using Keychain, ever. Excel neither seems to mind nor gives any clue why it asked. It doesn't seem to be to look up my name, for instance, since the Author of a New File is never me but always Miscrosoft Office User, whether or not I Allow it access; anyway, half the point of a User name attached to a file is that it isn't confidential…
Neither Excel nor Keychain appears to have a preference that will turn this off.
Can anyone tell me how to stop it?
